ICRC heads pays respect to genocide victims at Gisozi

 On 12th March 2020, On their visit to the Kigali genocide memorial Centre, Yves Daccord, Director General of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) together with  Pascal Hufschmid Director of Museums at ICRC, and François Moreillon, head of ICRC Rwanda visited the Kigali genocide memorial centre and paid their respects to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi

They toured different parts of the memorial and laid wreaths onto the burial place to pay respect to   more than 250,000 victims buried there.

In the message left in the memorial’s guest book, François Moreillon, head of ICRC Rwanda said “ there is no words… my thoughts go to the victim, the children, their families and survivors” while Yves Daccord said “ words can’t express what I feel right now” to express how they were shocked by what happened in Rwanda.
