Nyabihu: students pledge to cherish patriotism by fighting against genocide ideology
Over 520 students from college Baptiste de Kabaya (CBK) and College Evangelique de Butaka (COEBU) in Nyabihu district have committed to promote patriotism through fighting against genocide ideology and any other revisionism.
They made the pledge on 16th march 2017 after, the coordinator of the National Commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) in Nyabihu and Rubavu districts gave them a lectures on fighting against genocide and its ideology.
The students also committed to cherish cultural values and join hands to counter whoever may exhibit words or acts of genocide ideology. They pledged to create clubs to fight against genocide ideology within their respective schools.
He explained them the history of the Genocide against the Tutsi. He explained how it was prepared and executed. He further explained how to fight against genocide ideology by upholding the Ndi Umunyarwanda programme and promoting harmonious conviviality that is rid of revisionism and hatred.
After the lectures, Jean-Damascène Ntezimana urged the youth to bear in mind what was discussed during the lectures which for him was crucial in building a Rwanda that is free of genocide and its ideology. He urged them to take part in the fight against Genocide and its ideology
