CNLG employees train in preservation of genocide proofs at Nyamata Genocide Memorial site
On 6th Monday 2017, ten employees of the National commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) started a week- long training on sustainable conservation of genocide proofs. The training was organized in partnership with the US-based University of Pennsylvania.
Alongside this training taking place at Nyamata Genocide Memorial site in Bugesera District, the CNLG employees will learn how to lever clothes and other paraphernalia left by the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, who are laid to rest there.
The training is expected to equip CNLG staff with hands-on skills in using the Tumbler, new textile protocol, and cleaning methods.
Upon completion of the training, the trained CNLG employees will take on preservation of genocide proofs in different Genocide Memorial sites, starting by Nyamata.
