The youth comprise 71 bicycle riders transporting people and their goods in Rango centre of Mukura sector and 109 former street boys undergoing rehabilitation in Mbazi rehabilitation centre. The CNLG coordinator in Huye and Gisagara districts expounded to them the history of Rwanda during the pre-colonial, the colonial and the post-colonial periods.
He explained to them the history of the Genocide against the Tutsi, its preparation, execution, its consequences and the role the youth played in it.
He also expounded to them measures and strategies put in place to fight against genocide ideology, genocide denial and genocide trivialization. He further explained the role youth should play in the process.
Apart from blowing the whistle against whoever exhibiting genocide ideology, the youth committed to denounce some of their parents who nurture the genocide ideology and belie them whenever they want to distort the history.
In a bid to fight against genocide ideology, genocide denial and trivialization as stipulated by its mandate, CNLG gives lectures to different categories of people urging them to embrace the fight.
